Too funny guys...up here in Timmins, the only way I'd ever see 2 VFR's in the same place was if I bought another one. So for 3 glorious days there were 2 98's in my yard. I miss #1 already...I keep singing that Canadian rock anthem...:I got a new girl now and she's a lot like you...."

New to the forum and new to VFR's. I just picked up an '06 and hopefully will get a chance to meet up with some other riders from Guelph and the K/W area this coming season!
So if you see a big guy on a black VFR, stop me and say hi!

Well, you won't see me out on my Viffer until the salt has left the roads...and by my estimate that might be another month...or two. But congrats on the bike! Spring will be here soon enough.

Welcome to the club Katatonic. I'll keep an eye out for you in the spring, it's supposed to make it up to 2 degrees on Sunday so I might have to go out for a quick ride...
I'm over in the Riverside park area, where are you?

We're practically neighbors! I'm at Woodlawn and Victoria.
You won't see me out this weekend....I'll be working. Well, that and the VFR is headed to the shop for new pipes and a safety.
Although, I've still got the V Strom..... :congratulatory:

It's great that you're so close. We will have a Guelph meet for sure when the weather gets better, or sooner if you wanted.

I'd be interested in a meet when the weather gets better. I'm in the south end, Pineridge 'hood. Just picked up a 2002 black in December and I have 91 that I still need to pick up. It's paid for but I'm in no rush to bring it home while this crap weather is still around.

And another local person. That makes 4 of us from the club in Guelph, practically a gang now. I guess we need our own patch and an agenda...
I see that you've got a Suzuki GS as well.

This is sounding better and better!
I'd be up for a few VFR rides this summer!
As mentioned earlier, I'd be up for meeting up before the riding season starts too, just to get to know people first. I can usually be found at the Kelsey's on Woodlawn....that seems to be my watering hole of choice in Guelph. I can let you guys know when I'll be there if there's any interest.

Well, I've had the bike out for about a week now, ridden to work a few times and up to the Fergus area to 'play'. Love it so far!
It sounds awesome with the TBR exhaust, and when the V-Tec kicks in....wow!
So, when is everyone else going to start playing for the season?

I've been out this week on my wife's Super Sherpa. I'm not taking the VFR out until there's no ice on the roads between Waterloo and Guelph, since I commute in the morning. Not nearly as concerned about wee bits of ice in the morning on the little Sherpa.

I'd be out if I had a brain bucket to sport. It's funny that this thread was revisited today because I started mine up this morning and then scooted straight to Royal distributing to buy a helmet. NOT IN STOCK so I had to order one. (so I've been sitting on it for a few hours today instead of driving it) Truth be told, there is still a TON of sand in my neighbourhood and I've felt the black ice in my car here and there. I can hold off for "little" longer I guess.

I was itching like crazy this week. Saw one guy commuting on a big KTM I was still seeing ice on the roads. I just have to change the oil check a few things and I'm ready to go. But I also want a couple of good rains too. Is there another thread you guys follow for get togethers? I would be in as well.

I'm not sure about other threads; I'm relatively new to the VFR forum, just picked up my VFR in the fall BUT, I was born and raised here in Guelph (sadly) so I'm good for a cold one somewhere / anywhere for intros while the last of the ice melts and the salt is being washed away. I'm in the south end but happy to travel anywhere for an outing.

Been off bikes for about 20+ years and just got back on a two wheeled motor last spring. Picked up a 2002 VFR in the fall and another 1991 "project" in January. Just sold my GS1100 last Sunday - was sad to see it being loaded up if I'm honest.

    Welcome back to riding!

If you, or anyone else for that matter, want to meet up before the official start to the riding season, I'm game! I can usually be found at the Kelsey's on Woodlawn and can give you the heads-up the next time I'll be there. I'm always up for talking bikes!

YES, let's do that. It's been a long time since I talked bikes so I'm game. I'm normally good any time but this weekend is a bit busy for me. Anyone else interested?

I am away from the computer for a couple of days and the place goes wild! I would love to go out for a ride but I am in sunny Florida right now. Just south of Daytona and after seeing about a million bikes on the road today I am really itching to get out and ride.
