Hello all! I'm new here and just bought my first bike, a 99 vfr 800 and I'm in love with it!! Thing is, when I bought it, the brake pedal was bent. The seller gave me a new one with the bike so I simply have to change it. I've been working on it for a while and I just want to make sure I won't end up doing something wrong. I've managed to take out most of the bolts, one of them is stripped and the lower right one is so deep in the footpeg I'm gonna need to buy some sort of extension to get to it (any suggestions are welcomed). The thing that gets me wondering is the center of the piece where you get the black cover out and there's this big nut (bigger than 24mm, none of my ratchet heads are working on this one). Do I simply need a bigger one, unscrew it and job's done? Thanks for your time!

Do you have a copy of the Honda Service Manual? If not, send me a PM and I'll send you a link to a download for it. It should have everything you need to know about servicing your bike.

I do! It only gives explanations on how to get the left footpeg off and I don't think it's the same as the right one (unless I'm wrong, which is strongly possible!) Also, sorry if my english's a bit broken, not my main language!

Hmm. I have not had to work on this yet, so no first hand details I can give you, sorry. As far as your language, I couldn't tell English wasn't your first language! Hopefully someone else will chime in soon and have an answer for you.

    Cheers
