Before getting hysterical aboot history, Hyksos was a people, not a language. There are a few examples of the iconography on the net. Good fare for the unlettered.

BB is a real dude who subscribes to Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics. Asimov was influenced by R.U.R. Not by emulating a sack of chickens..

Yes, I believe I am somewhat accustomed to that vernacular.

Ah, Cougars and Owls! We have your old UofH coach.

Ah yes, A&M language skills programs are famous including the three unit course on bobbing for French Fries.

Is the mysterious coach being held hostage by fundamentalist Aggies?

Rice at the time I attended did not have a per se music department. Extant was The MOB. (The Marching Owl Band) A contradiction at best. At one home game since I think we may be talking football and I should point out that the A&M mascot is a canine, The MOB at halftime, formed the outline of a dog pissing on a fireplug whilst offering a rendition of "How Much is that Doggie in the Window."

Gig em was stolen by the Lone Star state by coon asses from Lousianna.
But Davie Crockett was known to use the term frequently until his demise at the Allamo, so perhaps it came from Tennessee.

Not to hijack the thread but.....

Close, they just formed a fire hydrant while a twirler ran around with an empty dog leash and the band played Oh Where, Oh Where Has My Little Dog Gone. That was before my time and electricity so I had never heard the story and had to look it up. Even funnier were the other antics they pulled during the same show a.k.a. "The Halftime of Infamy"

All that may very well be. What I heard was that way before fish finders and 600hp bass boats there was an A&M fishing competition for catfish and that was the battlecry. ;)

Right you are! I should have looked that one up.

Texas football is a near religious experience closely followed by the folklore..

I thought the battle cry was "lite the fuse".
Gig em might have come from the guy from the Bayou he yells "Choot em Choot em" while shooting alligators in the head with .22's.
