Well, first REAL ride since my full upgrade from Jamie and WOW, what a difference...BIG TIME. Pictures are above the Rock Store AKA the snake. Was going to take a whole lot of pictures but was having so much fun , didn't pull over again till I got home. Sure is nice going up there on a week day with seeing only ONE bike.
Fookin' ay mayt Rolled both my steeds today, fresh sneaks on both of them and a new IS-Max modular lid for the operator Did about 60 miles on the new Metz Roadtec 01s, first impressions are excellent. And just a quick scuff-in with the BT45s on the ol CB-F Only two complaints, not that warm- like 47F .......... and could do with some more curvage!
Yep that's a tad chilly. Needed the time by myself just ta chill and have a good time. Scuffed my new PR3 in and had to try out my new Gore-Tex Klim pants
There the new Latitude pants, couldn't pass them up, $125 discount on a sale happening this Sat...threw me the discount early
As long as the pants aren't getting scuffed all is well! Days like this I ride with protection on the inside AKA thermal underwear.... no pics, sorry sow. We're on the upslope with temps at least... So the JD treatment is satisfactory eh? I tossed that one around a lot in the middle of my fork overhaul, ultimately I decided against it for now because I knew I'd try to force myself to do both ends at once. Have fun with that one... How is the tailbag in the twisties, noticeable or bothersome?
Yep, the rock store looks and feels like a ghost town on weekdays. Glad you're getting time on the saddle.
Haven't been back there in 30 years, probably still the same, Harley's on one side, rest of us on the other. Pulled in one day on the 83, and when I took off my helmet some squid said "What's an old man doing riding one of those?!"
Yah back then it was stupid crazy, saw 3 guys get killed up there in the eighties. ....mostly by people goin to hot and no talent into turns and taking out oncoming riders.
