Funny how a single event can change the way you live your life. As kids, in Manitoba where electrical storms are plenty, we as kids ran around and played in electrical storms. I still love the spectacular display of a violent Lightning show, but do so from a place of shelter.

So homies, we got about 7 guys and 3 different rides. We need to nail it down or it won't happen. Keep bumping this post, we might get more interest. But we need to make a decision, one way or another. Damn it. ;)

Has a date been decided yet? Originally I had said I didn't think I could make it with all the travel I have going on this summer but you never know. I would come just t stand out in an electrical storm, with one arm over Rob's shoulder and a finger pointed to the sky in Winthrop.

It doesn't really matter where you go in Washington State, there is some good riding within a short riding distance.

My wife says we're a bunch of pussies. Someone needs to take the lead. I'm offering up my place. All that needs to be decided is the date. I'll smoke spare ribs and get a "few" cases of bud for the cooler. For those with a more discerning taste in beer, there's a country store 5 minutes away. Give me the word and I'll start clearing camp sites.

Oh, and my wife want's to go to her daughter's house for the day so it will be just us guys. Or gals.... whatever....

For a June ride over 20 to Winthrop, there is always the possibility of the road not being open yet. If open, it can get a little nippy in places...

    You're right.

And I was drunk last night. Doesn't matter to me where we go.

Looks like they are in Week 4 of opening Hwy 20. I don't think there will be issues about getting to Winthrop in June.

Generous offer on your place, sounds like a great option around great roads.
Only problem I see would be for people coming from the South, but it gets my vote.

June can be tricky weather wise around here though. It's always better camping and riding in the dry.

Ok so went down to St. Helens yesterday checking this and that, first, wow have things change a bit. One thing I found out. It was a bit early to know much, everything is still sorta closed out until after May. As far as a date, I had it in mind to play this out in August. it's anyone's take on what works, I just wanted to see what interests there are, which by this thread topic there's enough to move forward. This is just a look into the what ifs, I like the Mary hill loop. but $$$$ and if it's really doable, the St. Helens area 504 etc. is a nice and simple ride out and back, I like the Olympic coast possibility's, but it is kinda like out there, maybe to much for the simple get together?? Then there's my back yard as well, thanks Randy ;) for an over nighter? ;) I'm still looking at Aug, My june- july are pretty booked up less the one day I might have time to get out. I like the interests, what ever the majority likes, it's cool.

Not trying to push it, but there are some awesome back country roads right out my driveway. Come early, go riding...

^ photos? or at least a map. But for the most part I kinda shy away from N. Seattle, just a bit of a cluster for me. and it seems it's getting worse by the day. All though, I did to a meet and great at the Golden gardens a few years back, But.......SMH. but do understand the if you are all ready there, it ain't bad.

Google lake Roesiger, I'm a few miles from there. There's 4 good fishing lakes nearby.

    Just a couple of rides:

SW LK Roesiger Rd- N to N Carpenter Rd- Head West and get on Ok Mill Rd. North on 147 Ave NE. Do the round-trip or continue on.

    S. on Woods Creek Rd. R on Wagner. W on 108th. N on 215th. Meadow Lake Rd, N on Trombley. N on Spada Lk Rd. E on 72nd St SE. L on Storm Lake Rd, E on Dubuque Rd.

The Ben Howard is not much further coming out of Monroe.

These are great short rides if you're ever in the area.

Rob lives North of Seattle. North Seattle is like the rest of Seattle unless one goes too far West.

True that Highway 20 over to Winthrop is open now. The gist of the idea was to point oot that this is not always the case. Same deal on closure sometimes in October. That road is mountainous, is near the Canadian Border aka the Frozen North and is januwine certyfried wilderness in places. When open it is one of the best rides anywhere. Even better than going to Walmart on black Friday.

Sort of a plug here. Soundriders Sportbike Northwest. AMA certified and includes the Maryhill loops road. See the site for details.
