BTW any Veterans or Military here? Valley View Casino has a great lunch special, only $9 all you can eat. It might be Week Days only. You can sponsor 1 friend, regular price is $20 a person. Someone with skills can potentionally make $20. Win/Win. Are we allowed to post this? I was on another motorcycle forum and I put up one companies special and the moderator gave me a warning not to do it again. If it's is then sorry friends, in advance, and I will leave this forum like I did the other.

I think it's OK as long as you are not the one soliciting you're own business without compensating the forum for advertising space. We're pretty relaxed here. Besides, we like it when our military brothers are treated with discounts and most of all respect!

    Cheers

It isn't an annual ride yet, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Socal annual ride develop out of this. There are so many good roads here that we could easily support an annual ride.

I have a small group of friends that all get together once a year for a weekend ride, and I look forward to that for months before we go. I'd be stoked to have another, possibly larger, group ride every year.

    Thoughts?

If it's always around the time of year, a heads up in advance and I'll take a few days and get a room instead of an all day ride and have to slab it home another hr---- much rather ride, eat and have a drink and relax--- you know us old guys need our rest.

I usually go and meet up with some of the Northern California riders from VFRD. We typically meet somewhere in the middle of California and make our way through the Sierra-Nevada mountains. Can't make it this year but did it a few years in a row. I have an idea that we can discuss on Sunday and maybe we can make this happen.

According to Google maps the intended route from start to finish is about 178 miles. This does not include your travel to the first meeting point or your journey back home but count on a good 300-400 miles.

Most of them are probably still on their way home, but we made it back to the slab safe. Good ride, good food, good times.

And thank you to those who came out today. This is the first time I organized a ride through the Internet. Great group. It was nice to meet all of you.

Great ride, made it home safe. Thanks guys for inviting me and my slowness up/down back roads fun. I need to venture out of my neighborhood and see more of those roads again. Great scenic route with good twisties. Let me know when the next group ride is scheduled. Rommel
