22'000km on her. She's missing the clock and that's it, no centre stand either.

The stand is a Hindle! Good eye. Not sure where it's made.

Great looking bike! Happy to see another like mine. I think yours is in slightly better shape. IMG_20160830_185455074.jpg

So 22,000KM a, my money is on the 93 that was for sale in Ontario. If that is the case, you sir have bought a very fine example of one of the last Gen 3's. From what I could find out and was told, the bike was never in the rain and always srored inside, from what you see do you think that is true.
I almost wore out the Ipad looking at that ad and bike. The only reason I did not get it was I had bought my 90 in November 2016 and the bike was at least 15 hours one way from here.

Hahaha wow! That's exactly the one! It's a beauty. Only a few flaws, no clock on the dash, a small paint crack on back right fairing and a broken tab on the seat cowl. All to be fixed in due time! It's a gem. Already bought some spare body panels from sask.

Now to just find a left side exhaust!

Hate you, mean it. Makes so homesick for my gone 93 with clock, center stand, and suspension upgrades. Still, a more or less unmolested 93 is s joy to behold.

Needs a tank protector/tankbag combo, 4th gen rear turn signals, and good sorted suspension, and lots of riding.

And sorry, but I like bobbed rear fender.

111916 (2).jpg thats a Lockhart Phillips single sided swing arm stand, (say that fast five times after you have your favourite beverage.) It could have been used on a NT650 aka Hawk/Revere. (had a Hawk that I hated - thank gawd I got rid of that bike - thought a 650 would at least ride as good or better than my EX500)

There is a company called MagKnight, they sell heavy vinal that is magnatized for a tank protector http://www.mag-knight.com/
I have one on my black bike, the white one has damage on the tank, so I dont care as much.

I don't like tank bras as they can trap debris under them and screw up with your paint, plus down here, you can end up with a two tone tank, (not a major factor with a small think like a petrol tank, but the sodomites that use them on their cars - they must double up on their use of condoms.) different strokes for different folks.

Devo PM me any time you want, been with these bikes for over 20 years, my black one, if it farts I know it had some bad gas or something :pound: seriously though, love these style bikes. btw, why even bother with a centre stand? I do like it on my commuter EX500/GPZ500 but never felt the need to get them for my Interceptors :peace: out

There was one that turned up on ebay less than a year ago, I passed, it was a full race system with the typical springs, my bikes run so well with their slip ons and being up to my arse in alligators with my job/wife/1 year old baby, I said, "fug-it!" let someone else have it. If you get one of them, you may have to remove the can to get access to the hub for your swing arm stand.

So I started hoarding any spare parts I can find cheap. Have had amazing luck getting body panels, so far I got left mid and belly pan, oil cooler air guide and a whole tail section for less than $200!

Looks like things are coming together, where are you having the most luck finding spares?, eBay? Local sale Webb site?
Where do you find the best place to buy new parts like the brake lines?

    She went in today!

I found the body parts and oil cooler air guide between local bike wreckers and Kijiji.

New stuff I usually get at fortnine.ca and motosports .com

    Annnnnd she's back!

Dino to full Synthetic oil, sounds a tad quieter, certainly shifts better.

New fork fluid made a huuuge difference, combined with the new tires, EBS pads and Galfer lines, she feels fantastic. Handles heaps better! New plugs, airfilter and front wheel
bearings, also coolant flush and fill.

180 is all I ever used, a 170 is an odd ball size. Bike has a 5.5 inch wide rim which is perfect! Btw, I have had some tyres of years past that needed a trimming due to clearance issues with the swing arm, I took a wood planer and had a mate rotate the tyre while I cut off some rubber, when I was done, I had a black ball a little smaller than a golf ball. Re balanced the tyre and all was cool.

I used to remember what the heck the specifics were regarding these tyres, now I can't (does not do you much good I know) all I know is this: The only tyres I role with are Michelins, and I dont have a problem with them. Maybe they were Dunlops that rubbed, anyway rubber side up, shiny side down. 180-55-70 tyres are your friends. :peace:

AllBalls always used to be good. I thought they would be crap when they became Chinese made, but I think they're still OK. China CAN make quality stuff IF the good company that hires them give them a GOOD specification and DEMAND that it be followed. That said, I like SKF for bearings and seals.

    Cheers,
    Glenn
