Finally a MotoGP race, good to see so many riders and makes involved right to the end

Zarco continues to impress, his rookie year has seen some very inspired and mature riding

Philip Island is such a beautiful circuit for spectators and fast for the riders, pity it's a 23 hr flight away

Yep, Awesome race for sure. Before the start of this year’s race, I went into the MotoGP archives and found the 2015 race and rewatched that. That one was something to see but this year was far better! Having Iannone and Zarco roughing up the Aliens was definitely worth the price of admission.

Rossi had commented at the end of the race that this new aggressive riding is the new thing and that if you don’t like it, stay home. (Paraphrasing) I think part of this statement is a dig at JL for his comment about Zarco’s aggressive pass he made on him. Rossi definitely had his fair share of Michelin rubber on his bike and leathers! MM’s bike had a broken tail section, most likely from his contact with Zarco.

The aggressive riding was also a topic at the post race press conference and the 3 podium placers all agreed that this type of riding was necessary in order to keep things interesting and enjoyable for them. Hopefully, they can keep this up and nobody ends up the worse for it, they are right, this definitely makes for a better show!

And some very overly aggressive almost dangerous riding too. But, every Marquez blackened Rossi's leather, so it's not only Zarco...

The WSB this weekend from Spain was also excellent, Johnny Rea was his usual self although Melandri was so unlucky with only less than 4 laps to go

Chaz must be yearning for the V4 Ducati every time he's Rea disappear into the distance, he's got another problem with Melandri too

Good to see Lowes finally coming good, him and Van Der Mark had a race of their own

The last BSB round at Brands Hatch was the best, Skakey had to win all 3 heats and Haslam score poorly to win the championship

With everything to play for in the final heat, Haslam is in front when his front brakes fail coming out of the back straight, he stood on the back brake until the bike was nearly off the tarmac then stepped off ...at 172, broke his right ankle, left wrist and thumb but insisted on being take to the parc ferme to congratulate Shakey before being taken to hospital

I like Leon, hope he heals up quick. Hoping to get the replays of the BSB over here.

    Here is video.

MM hasn't dominated in Malaysia. Ball is in Dovi's court even though He needs MM to make a big mistake.

Definitely going to be a tough one for MM, especially with Zarco, VR, DP, MV, JL all in front of him. I see some repeats of PI action coming in this race though.

Every time I see MM do that (and he has done it lot) I think of Marco Simoncelli doing the same thing and ending up in the path of Edwards and Rossi and getting killed.

Well the rain brought on a totally different race. Made it rather boring actually. Have to say though, that whatever Zarco is doing with the Yamaha, the factory boys should be taking note!

The Moto3 race was great. I'm a little more than halfway through Moto2. The MotoGP race was interesting, but also not. Who's gonna win the championship? It's going to take a big change to stop the expected person to win.

    (Trying not to give spoilers.)

Whatever he's doing isn't gonna be the same next year. The 2017 M1 chassis hasn't proven to be as good as the '16 Zarco is on. Althought they aren't complaining that much openly, it's no secret that Vinales and Rossi have struggled with rear tire longevity in the dry and rear traction issues in the wet.

Really amazing how far the Yamaha fell throughout the year. They were the bike to beat at the beginning of the season, but in the heat or the wet, they fall back through the pack pretty quick.

I stayed up to watch last night, going to bed a little after 1am. Shouldn't have, I could have watched this evening and got some sleep last night. Not the best race of the season. However......
