That is a big yes in my book. After chasing a friend at Barber on a few track days I have really fell in love with that bike. I'm curious what the real price will be on the Duc.

Wow! The V4 with all the fun bits will probably cost a pretty penny. Though I hate when I have tossed my CBR 1k down the track I don't have a heart attack like I probably would if I tossed the Ducati down the track.

Aprilia v4 is a 65 degree enginge. The ducati v4 is 90 degree. The 90 will always sound batter to me.

Have you heard a RSV4 with a full Akra on it? Pretty amazing sound.

I've heard various rsv4's but I know you haven't heard the ducati v4 yet. And neither have I. But a 90 degree v4 (which is in the ducati) will sound more exotic than a 65 degree v4 (aprilia). Moto gp use 90 degree v4s. The rsv4 doesn't sound quite exactly like a gp bike. The ducati will.

Put an akra on the new ducati v4 and the same akra on an rsv4 - the ducati will sound better.

Again it's not because it's a ducati vs aprilia brand thing. It's just engine cylinder angle. If the aprilia goes to a 90 degree engine they'll sound more the same...

And don't get me wrong any v4 sounds glorious and so does the aprilia, but a 90 degree v4 sounds best. In my humble opinion.

What are you talking about? I designed the entire exhaust system on the new Duc! lol I know what you mean but I think it may be splitting hairs. I have heard recordings of the new Duc and have watched GP forever and love those exhaust notes. I have tracked with several RSV4's that were beasts. Getting passed by a friend on one near the limiter at Barber sounded just crazy good. I had just backed off the throttle and he was still WFO. Didn't think he was going to make the turn but he made it look easy.
