    Fellow Moto Nurdz I Luv,
    I've Missed You So!
    Lovers Yous, MIA AM

So where have I been? Unfortunately not out riding 100,000 miles these last few months...which I'd love to do and break that other awesome gal's record!

August: New School Year, the TOUGH and HARD NO ONE-SHOULD-HAVE-TO-DEAL-WITH-KIND

September: Started part-time 3rd Shift Job

September - January: AM MIA, so sickers A LOT from terrible 3rd shift job work environment and lots of work-related burn trauma, among other injuries and food allergy reactions

October: Recipient of Teaching Award which just made teaching even trickier. How does that happen?
At least a parent brought me booze to the classroom, well, a booze container. How does that even happen?!

    FB_IMG_1515387306947.jpg

November: Was there a holiday somewhere in here? I wouldn't know...with all my food allergies now. Colorado was fun though!

    20171120_131323.jpg

December: Pack, Pack, Pack and Move and another holiday? Worked and slept through that one I'm sure, but not before getting away for a week. So I did get to breathe, and sleep, and was 100% well as soon as I spent one day out of Kansas. Big...since I'd been sick since September.

January: New Year, Job Search for New Part-time Jobs , annnnnnd...Me Another Year Older, but still healthy!

Yep, pretty much MIA the last 5 months. No rides since August except the occasional ride to and from work.

I did escape to the CO again after the August CO ride. Had much funs!

Seeing huge stuff in Kansas on the way to and from. Kansas is WAY AWESOME! You should totally come here. TOTALLY! Check out this one of many Big Kansas Stuffs:

For a while this fall, sad moto was down from electrical gremlin again. So sad at my favorite sunset spot in the evenings...alone...no Moto.

    BUT...!

This was me, victorious after I conquered the gremlin...how my photos should look with both of us: Moto and Me

All Was Well Again in My Motoheart

    20171202_173936.jpg

Had a few more Fall rides to works and here and there, but still only in Kansas.

December came and it was time for my escape. I go so stir crazy when I'm stuck in Kansas so long. But Moto had to be left behind. I would make it up upon my return from...

The California! I only had southern coast of CA to explore, to see what part of CA I love the best, so to the south I flew.

    20171220_104658.jpg

    20171219_123542.jpg

Had an amazing time and found out that in CA, SoCal is the place for me!
Zoltar, pleeeeeeease grant me my wish.... I so beg, I so fall in LOVE!

    20171218_124924.jpg

My long term plan of escape from Kansas is narrowing down to just a few places now.

Sadly I made my way back to Kansas, just in time to work and sleep through Christmas, pack up the rest of what littles I have, and give Moto the best Christmas present ever: a home!!

    20180106_145202.jpg

I think it's well deserved after all Moto has been put through. Alaska was no easy thing and I never properly thanked Moto for the icy New Year's ride we survived last year.

Since then I have caught up on much sleep and my dreams are coming back after being sleep deprived for months.

So here I be, with a wee bit of time to relax between part-time jobs, miraculously not sick anymore since I quit bad night work, figuring out the details of how I will spend what will hopefully be the last couple years in Kansas.

There are some riding plans, as I am always up for anything and always seemingly up to somethings.

I have some new goals I'll share and complete along the way. Some include riding. Some not. But that's what keeps things interesting.

Hope everyone has some crazy dreams and some crazy ideas and follows through with some of that craziness to have an incredibly crazy fun 2018!

Make sure you embrace all those ups and downs too...something I've had to really work on lately. My year has been full of them. Sometimes it's hard to find the smiles, especially for me these last few months. And most of you know that's saying a lot for me:

    it's

    been

    HARD

BUT I make sure to remember nothing lasts forever, especially myself, so I cannot dwell in the temporary or past; I look forward, keep on, because time won't pause for measly ol' me and my age is already starting to catch up with me in little ways.

Cheers to yous all in this new year!!!

In the meantime, I hope to get caught up with all the shenanigans around here!

It is so good to hear from you again A,M.
I was experiencing what can only be described as withdrawal in the last few months.
    Thank you for the update.

    congrats on the teaching award!
What was the electrical gremlin that you had to deal with?

Food allergy reactions can be some serious shit. My wife has a corn & yeast allergy that just developed when she was 35. Luckily they are mild reaction like migraines and lost voice. I say a migraine is mild only when compared to anaphylaxis. I dare you guys to find a product that doesn't have something derived from corn. It's incredibly difficult.

Anyways, AM, hopefully your allergy is something mild.

Your garage is identical to mine! Glad you have one. I am guessing a condo of sorts? Great to hear from you!

Thanks! I never expected I'd be a recipient of such an award. It's definitely a day I'll never forget.
Not sure what the gremlin be, but a routine battery swap was anything but.
Wondering bent or pinched wiring or bad ground. Messed around with it all, got it going again.

NOOOO...no withdrawal...I'm so sorry and hope the symptoms weren't too severe!

WOW...I feel her pain. I was just diagnosed Christmas before last at age 36, almost 37, with these adult onset allergies. Corn is a really shizzy thing to be allergic too. She has to be careful with maltodextrin too which seems to be in everything. It can be derived from corn and wheat, but rarely a product says what the derivative is.

I have a similar problem diagnosed by blood test, but it's not corn. It's Wheat. And Eggs. And Nuts. Suspect soy. And I'm sure Sesame since I had a horrible reaction to a sesame/honey candy in Alaska this summer. And white sugar gives me symptoms, but I found out that unprocessed cane sugar doesn't. White sugar is liquified and treated with phosphates to collect debris in vats before it is crystallized again. Many people have issues with phosphates, so I suspect something like that. So basically I'm on a rice and rice and rice diet.

Things come up all the time, sometimes I don't know what I ate. I know I'm allergic or sensitive to a food that burns my mouth, then I have the respiratory issues: runny nose, swelling and lump in my throat that forms like a have a hocker I can't cough out and it feels like I'm gagging, then dry cough that gets worse and uncontrollable, then the itches come all over, sometimes rash, and after bad reactions, confusion like saying I'm okay, I'm okay when I'm really not. Then I have overwhelming fatigue sit in like I have to lay down right away anywhere and fall asleep. I had a couple reactions and one really bad at my night job in which I should have had the EpiPen injection. I felt horrible that entire next day.

When I first found out about these, and discovering more things that bother me, I have found the reactions can be mild or serious and I just never know. This is not good on top of my sensitivities to leather products, plastics, and other textiles and adhesives. I've posted up about what my riding gloves do to my hands. And recently a wrist brace with some magnets in it chemically burned my skin within 15 minutes.

Going to a new allergist next week for skin testing. Not looking forward to it, but hopefully it will provide more answers.

I really feel terrible for her. I hope she doesn't develop anything new. One would think I'd fall apart by now. Crazy I'm so tough. Sounds like I'm not after typing this. HA

Not quite as bad as your being "under the weather'.

Man!!! It sounds like a full time job just to figure out what you CAN eat.

Thank you, Duckie!! 38 still feels like my 20s, but soooo much better since I'm way wiser....kinda
Heck yes, garage is already awesome! I didn't have to cry at an iced-over moto this morning!
Kansas weather is being crazy right now.

    BTW...this happened to my phone.
It got ran over shortly after you messaged me...so, that's why you haven't heard from me by phone since.
    Hope you got back okay!

I have come to terms with probably having to live in a dumpster.
But hey, I'll rarely be home with all the activities I'd be doing!

I am so sorry for your pain especially at a young age. Monsonto is the beast here and for years. Fuck them and our food! They have poisoned us for decades and still allowed to do so. Allergy's are due to unnatural genetic variations in our seeds. TSP a poison to us is in most of the trusted manufactures of food especially childrens cereal. I just used it to clean my fireplace mantel at work and it is General mills cereal. Fuck big business, Europe wont even take any of our crop exports. Only China. To bad the EPA is not the same of decades ago and have fallen into the political fuck fight. Sick people means money on the back end! If you control the most basic necessities of life - Food, Water and health care you have a strangle hold on all of society!
