I'm having a hard time finding aftermarket parts for my 1990 vfr. I did a search on here and most of the recommended sites in the old threads are either no longer making parts for the rc36 or the site no longer exists. I'm mainly looking for a more touring friendly windscreen and seat. Can anybody help me out?

I had a Vario-Touring on my GPz1100 and loved it. I have a Powerbronze Tall Flip screen on my VFR and it is better than the original protection-wise. I suspect the Vario-Touring would give more protection for foul-weather touring, but the Powerbronze looks better IMHO. MRA is a European company so you may have to order from a Euro seller (well, Powerbronze is, too, but they have a USA website and pricing). Links below for models specifically for our bikes.

    Cheers,
    Glenn

Thanks! The powerbronze is exactly what I was looking for. I missed it on their site before, I didn't think to check the clearance section

It's not horrible, but after awhile you want to lay down on the tank to get out of the wind

I have struggled with the wind noise in my -93. When I bought the bike it had MRA Touring screen which caused very noise turbulence around the helmet. I replaced it with Vario Touring screen and it was bit better and very useful for different weather conditions. In cold weather you could adjust it to up position to keep cold wind away and in hot days it allows the wind to your helmet cooling. Anyway I was not happy with it either. Then I ordered the standard screen from China and in noise wise it was the best one but did not offer much shield for the wind. Now I have a double bubble screen (I'm not sure where I got it from) and it is the best one for relatively good shield and absolutely the best causing almost no turbulence and noise to the helmet.
