Finally upgraded my front brakes on my gen 3. EBC stainless lines and EBC double H pads. Rear line was out of stock, but I'll upgrade as soon as it's available. 20180516_150245.jpg

Nice! I just picked up a fourth gen and I really want to upgrade the brakes. How are the brakes now that you upgraded them?

The pads gave a 300 mile break in period, so I haven't really gotten to put them through their paces. I will say that it feels like I have the same amount of braking, with less effort on the brake lever. I feel like once the pads are broken in and I can really squeeze the lever, it should stop pretty well.

Right on! I really want to do something to mine, I don't know if the brakes are really super spongy or I'm just used to the fancy linked brake system and abs units from my other bikes. Lol
I know for sure I'm going to upgrade the old pads and rotors and also upgrade to the braided lines. I'm hoping that will stiffen up the lever a bit.

If I ever feel like upgrading my Gen 4 brakes.... I just take my ‘76 CB550 out for a ride. The issue fixes itself.
