You're lucky to have squirrels for entertainment.

You paint with a a wide brush, without knowing much about an area.

Our area is as built out as it will ever be. Minimum lots are 4 acres, and structures must be 150 feet minimum from a property line. We have an oversize 3 car attached garage, plus a 40X60 shop with attached 20X60 drive through RV garage.

I'm 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe, and, from most rooms, look out over a valley of deed restricted ranch land with cattle across to the Northern Sierra snow capped mountains year round. Fantastic skiing and fly fishing are 25-30 minutes away. My back gate opens to BLM land, where I can ride my dirt bikes for over 70 miles (as the crow flies!) through the Pine Nut mountains before I get near a paved road. Highway 89, 4, and many more great roads are minutes away for me and my VFR. I can take my LandCruiser up to over 11,000" on top of Mt. Patterson in a couple of hours. Last Friday we had a herd of over a hundred wild mustangs along the back gate. So it don't suck!

Change is inevitable, no matter where you are, but we are very happy to be here!

I noticed the corrosion and missing metal too. But, he restores cars to Concourse D'Elegance level, so I know it will be taken care of.

Which camera did you use? I really like the depth of color, subtle, maybe it's just that it really captures black very well, giving the whole picture a lot of richness.

This is what it looked like on the hike in, snowing and cloudy. The next morning was beautiful.

Just curious. I suspect both motor bikes and mountain bikes share these single tracks. Is there conflict between the two. That looks like a grand place for day excursions on the mountain bikes. I wished I still have my full suspension Specialized bike but some poor and hard done by drug addicted street basterd broke into my garage and stole it. I had to settle for a hard tail this time around, but it can still handle the less serious single track rather than the knarley stuff. I am too old for that anyway.

Where abouts in the North Cascades? If you ever find yourself up this way, give me a heads up. I can meet you somewhere on the flat lands for coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Hips at present will not tolerate any kind of mountaineering at all. Flat land kikes are about all I can handle until I get the new hardware in December I hope.
