I have read on here that people have fitted the tallest motopumps risers without changing anything.
I know the .6 inch Honda ones didn’t require any other changes.

Have the tallest Motopumps on. No other work needed to install. Feel great for my bad back!

Hello everyone. Just got myself 2014 Honda VFR 800 DLX upgraded from 1998 (will be selling it some time soon so hard to let go!!!!). First upgrade already installed Motopumps 1.25" spacers. Took 10 minutes to install no issues with any wiring at all. Feels more upright!!! If anyone needs to go to track on the bike, easy to swap back to stock, no special tools just keep the original 4 bolts near by.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Installed the 0.95" Motopumps risers today in about 5 minutes. Great quality. Color match is better than I expected. Easy installation. Quick shipping.

On the other hand, I honestly can't tell my handlebars are an inch higher. I've ridden the motorcycle less than 30 miles in the week I've owned it, so I don't have much of a baseline.

Maybe the 1.25 inch riser would have been a better choice ?

It's possible, but if an entire inch wasn't perceivable to me, I can' t imagine another 1/4" making any difference. Perhaps the real benefit is in comfort on longer rides rather than an instantly noticeable change in riding position. I'll reserve final judgement until the weather warms above 70ºF and I can go for a ride. :)

You could maybe take the lower seat position, then ? Another good inch (2 cm) relative "gain"...

The first thing I did after bringing the motorcycle home was lower the seat.

I'm sure it'll be fine - I was just expecting the handlebar risers to make more of a difference. :)
