Rebuilt my forks yet again as my left leg started weeping for the third time.
Seems to last 20,000km between rebuild.
No marks on the tubes, straight as, so not sure why it's always the same leg.
I use HRC seals and take care on rebuild.
Oh well, washed it and took it for a 300km shakedown.
Ready for my 1000km trip next weekend.
No comparison to your pic RVFR, that's a beauty.

GEDC4095 (800x600).jpg Hope that's humidity coming out of your pipes and not oil smoke(likely the former considering where you are). :)

I didn't go flying either. Got ready and the &*&%$#% wind blew the hangar door closed so I gave up. Was going to ride anyway but once I got inside and warm I chickened out.

Where's the love button here? Nice plane.. Now that's flying as it was meant to be. ;) Yea that was start up with it being 40 outside, was just pre condensing water vapor. Still cool to watch though as you could see each pulse of fire. .

Drained 1/2 quart of oil from being over filled by the shop. Then I went for a careful, but spirited ride scuffing up the new set of rubber (T30 Evo's) up Big & little Cottonwood Canyons and all over in Salt Lake City. 73 Degrees, slight overcast, fall colors everywhere, and lots of riders out taking advantage of one of the best riding days for the months to come. Fu..ing Heaven on earth today on the bike! No pics, because I did not want to stop riding. Tomorrow I go yell at the shop and make sure that I will never go back by making my name a tag that they will not want back. I will be looking for a new place to have work done if needed because the couldn't even do an oil change correctly.

Today I finished up a couple of things. Yesterday I took apart the 09 VFR to install a new water pump and AS3 silicone coolant hoses. Today I just made sure there was no leaking anywhere and took her for a test ride. The other thing, I finally took the damaged wheel from my 01 low side and made it into a clock and hung it on the wall.

Here are all the hoses you get with the AS3 kit. The two long ones off to the side don't seem to be a match for anything I yanked out, I'll have to talk to AS3 about that.

How things looked from the right side of the bike when the TBs got moved out of the way.

    The left side...

    and from above...

And last but not least, the "wheel clock". The dent is almost fitting, as the accident happened somewhere between 3 and 4 O'clock if recall correctly. It was definitely later in the afternoon.

That's an idea. Make a clock out of the $4K junk crank out of my biplane's engine.:( Wish I had a boat(NOT!).....I don't need anymore anchors.

I don't find vintage Honda parts exactly cheap, but there' almost free in airplane dollars:rolleyes:

Crazy day of sorts. Saw the weather forecast and it's going to be a tad wet for the next few days. Being it was sunny at the moment, I saw how beautiful out the maple was and thought it would look nice as a back drop. so worked it to fire off both bikes, warmed em up, up and around the block, then wheeled into the yard, Bingo. Fun times. I mean when you have nothing better to do in short notice weather right.

I put mine to bed for the winter with new tires, oil, full tank with stabilizer, etc. She may come out of her sleep if I see a day off above 50 f. But that looks like a lotto ticket for me.

Went for about a 150 mile ride. Weather finally cooled off here perfect weather about 60'F overcast with a nice breeze. Followed the St Johns river south on US 13. Stopped at Riverdale park and boat ramp for a break (old man pee time) and took this picture. 20181027_123252.jpg

Just something about this model of the VFR that hits home with me, this is a nice example. All Honda needed to do was shoe horn the current and made it a real 800cc engine in this set up, then add the suspension off the cbr600 and it would of hit a home run. and as a bonus add the RVF rear wheel single nut ;) Bing Bing, we have a winner

I replaced the R/R with the one from Roadstercycle. He did a great job putting the kit together and sending it fast. I soldered all the connections. I also found a bad tail/break light so replaced them both and the license plate light with LEDs. Since I always use the rear seat cowl, I ordered these sholder bolts from ebay and replaced the frankenbolts.

Literally hundreds of new parts are in hand...just a few more needed to have all the bits and bobs required to do the full resto mod. It takes months to get it all ordered, shipped and delivered, usually longer than it takes to put it together. It's just getting started.
