Well not a great race to end the season for Marquez at Valencia but at least he has the championship trophy to give him some comfort after his nasty spill. Great to see KTM finally get on the podium. Way to go Honda - can’t wait for next season!

Watch it quick before it disappears :D

It may not have been a great race for Marquez but it was for Pol Espargaró! Not only did he crash and remount in the first part of the race, he ends on the podium in the second part of the race! His first in the MotoGP class as well as KTM!

Rins was also phenomenal in the first part of the race and did very well in the second part. Great to see him on the podium one more time this year.

Well is Honda watching? lol They didn't even score a point while the new V4 Ducati smashes the field. Rea and Haslam had a good fight for a long time for 2nd but Leon got greedy. He crashed but still managed to get back on and score a point... ahead of all of the Honda's.
This track is on of my favorite of the year, especially Stoners corner and Doohans corner. massive corner speeds. But don't count Kawi out just yet. Or Yamaha either, they were strong too.

I think the new V4 Duc and the Yamaha with its cross plane crank lay down the power in a way that if managed right are easier on the tires. Rea is excellent at tire management on the in-line. Going to be very interesting. Did I see the HRC guys eyeballing the rear tire on the Ducati? lol

Can't say I didn't see that coming. Just a few things, 1.) It's still very early days. 2.) Ducati always goes good at PI. 3.) You kinda got feel that Bautista's showing sure didn't help Mr. Davies' prospects, and if it keeps up....hello BSB. 4.) JR and Pere Riba are not going away that easy.

All very true. I'm hoping that JR has to at least fight for another title, if he's to get another this year. Also want to see how this 10 lap race is going to factor into the championship.

Ummm, two wheeled NASCAR anyone? Too gimmicky for me, and I see it as a recipe for people getting hurt. Just MHO.

Ultimately, it comes down to the chassis. If you have to set the geometry, to a place where it destroys the tires to go fast, this won't hide that fact. In superbike racing, it's all about the base.....bump, bump, bump, bump

And let us not forget the possibility that any manufacturer could end up getting a rev reduction based upon results......

Yeah, and I don't care for the inverted grid for race 2, just wondering if this new format is going to make the season worse or no affect at all. The inverted grid didn't seem to do much, same front runners still there at the front, just takes them a little longer to get there. I would anticipate the 10 lap race won't have a huge affect either, we'll have to see I guess.

Wondering how long before they do a split grid, group one goes one way on the track, group two goes the opposite way....I know that's ridiculous, but I think it makes a point.

There was a huge difference between the top 5 and the rest of the field

I won’t spoil it for you, but yes. It was very good.
Bautista showed his advantage at being familiar with a V4.
The smoothest ride I’ve seen in a while.

Oh, I wasn't worried about a spoiler. I don't watch WSBK, I just check the results.
