Hey guys- I'm preparing to part out a 5th gen (actually 1.5 bikes I've acquired).. I'm the guy that finds unloved 98-2001 VFRs and uses the engine/wiring harness for my BEC projects (think VFR800 motor in a tiny, light car- wee!!)..

Anyway, I'll be posting several bits up for sale in the classified section here on VFR World soon (probably next week -Feb 19/20-ish---might get bumped to Feb 25/26...).. I try to be fair with the pricing of my spares, and I like to offer them up here to the enthusiasts.. if the bits don't go here, then I'll put them up on Ebay in a bit..

Bottom line, I don't need these bits, but maybe you do(?).. I need them gone.. I'm not trying to be an opportunist or be greedy doing this.. I'm taking the $$ and putting it right back into a fun VFR project- I love this bike platform as much as you do :)

This bike-parts selling process gets muddy quickly for me, as I'm not a professional bike breaker.. Ideally you're the first one to tell me what you need, we quickly agree on a fair price (including shipping), you Paypal the $$ to me, and I ship it to you within a day or two.. I've done this here before, and it's worked very, very well (if you've bought from me here in the past this is where you chime in a tell everyone what a great guy I am  )..

A few highlights and lowlights.. I don't have good plastics (fairings).. I need all of my switches/wiring/engine/and ancillaries to make the engine run.. other than that, it all goes.. I know I've got an excellent headlight, good taillight, two good rear swing arms, two good rear wheels, one good front wheel, two good frames (although not much call for those), one good rear subframe, one good stock silencer, one goot 1998 exhaust system (catless- no 02 sensor), one good front fairing frame (small front bracket the front fairing bolts to), and one VERY nice fuel tank (red)- it's not perfect, but it's an 8.5 out of 10... finally, assorted little stuff like foot pegs and clip-ons and such..

I'll post pics in the real classified ad next week, but I wanted to post this here first.. So often I find it's not the part or the $$ exchanged, it's the mutual benefit of me clearing out stuff I don't need, and getting the needed part to the guy that could really use it

(Soooo much easier through email @ novakdean@hotmail.com)

    Thanks guys-

    Dean (ccrunner)

Does this mean that the Volvo (sooo sexy) is roadworthy again and you're getting back to work on the Berkely?

Hey Greg.. The 1800 is close to running again (another week or two); I've only so far chased the mechanicals, and haven't dealt with the bodywork yet...

I agree-- sexy little car!... It's a little surreal to look at.. like a super hot chick with a black eye- there's a story there, she's mysterious, and still hot..

I wish I could say I'm getting back on the Berkeley, but that's still several months out.. I want the Volvo completed first, and I'm tripping over parts while trying to do it (I'm in a residential 2 car garage).. gotta clean house a bit and get myself better organized...

Do you still have the stock silencer? Would I need the slip on pipe? I have a 2001 and want to get a stock muffler for it.

Hi mhz... I do have the stock silencer.. it's a 'bolt up' to your stock header/exhaust (there is no mid pipe).. plug and play if you're all stock on your bike.. Send me a PM if you're interested..

    thanks-

    Hi Dean,

Any chance you have the rear seat cowl? Didn't see it specifically mentioned in the list....

I still have the red one from my 99. It wasn’t stored very well so it has a number of scratches. But all the tabs are fine.

And I’m in Vancouver Canada, but I can ship it from Washington if you can wait for it.

    mhzpower,

That is awesome! Please feel free to send me a PM so we don't clutter up Dean's original thread.

I'm super interested in buying this cowl....

    Dave.
