Did the flapper mod on my Gen5.
I was pretty sceptical about any potential benefits, but it seems to have done something. The 5k RPM flatspot is completely gone.

I will probably take a peek at the snorkel today. Didn't want to do more than one mod at one time, as that makes it difficult to figure out which mod did what, or if one did nothing.

    Images? More like video!

The camera doesn't do it justice. It sounds way better in person!

Mot done first ride out on vfr this year. 200 miles of Highland roads.

First time I have worn out a front tyre before a rear. Eek.

Was gifted a set of levers, so I put them on and went for a 30 mile ride afterwards to test it out. Clutching feels much better now (as least that's what I feel).

Haven't tried it yet been too busy building a campervan. Tomorrows commute should give it a good run.

    An 1166 now.
One and a half years to finish.
Full motor rebuild with 1166 Moriwaki kit, cams, hi comp pistons, exhaust, oversized valves, port and polish and flat slide carbs.
GSXR1000 front end and monoshock rear with braced swing arm.
It’s a beast, but it certainly attracts attention every where we go.

I loved riding my buddies back in the 80’s
Thing was a beast stock, that bike must be scary fast.
