Marquez is pretty sharp, he will only be racing the guys that matter in the championship. I'm not saying he isn't going to push, but he's gotten pretty wise over the years.

That was a good race in the WSB Superpole, until it was red flagged, after that the organisation went to shit, Sykes summed it up in a post fuck up interview “I came over the hill under a red flag, no oil flags anywhere ... then there were cars parked on the side of the track ...this is fucking unreal”

If it was going to happen to anybody, it was going to happen to Sykes, he has had some pretty unlucky things happen over the last few years.

Ducati's fortunes in WSBK and MotoGP seem to be mirroring each other, as of late.

was at Donnington for Sunday's race and a lot of people were not happy about the decision given to Tom Sykes, there was some booing, I know rules are rules but it seemed a bit harsh

Tom Sykes has been cursed by, first, the arrival of Ben Spies at Yamaha in 2009, second, when Jonathan showed up at Kawasaki. The guy just hasn't been the same since and this was pretty much how things have gone for Tom. Great rider, horrible luck.

Brad Binder signs with Tech3 KTM MotoGP team for next season. Looks like Hafizh Syharin is done after this year. Don't see him in MotoGP next year. Looks like it's back to Moto2, or gone from the championship completely.

Finally watched race 2, good battles up front. Rea is back in full form.

Michael Dunlop’s crash .... I fully sympathise as I broke my pelvis on the left side in 2014 ....one place where full body armour doesn’t protect

Hate seeing riders get hurt. It's the worst part of racing for me. No matter who it is. Once you go down yourself, you never forget that sickening sound. It sticks with you for life.

It's been quite the turnaround in WSBK, just goes to show what a formidable team, with a mentally bulletproof rider, can overcome, when the chips are down. Impressive, very impressive.

I'm with you there, I'll take a low side any day of the week and twice on Sunday! Oops, I probably should knock on wood after that thought!

Did anyone watch the MotoE race after the GP?

Crazy racing with everyone having different lines and braking points, lots of fairing banging going on ...the off the stopped the race made short work of that air fence ...highside one of those 300 kg bikes and you’d be lucky to walk away....then of course the batteries caught fire

Seeing the special measures needed to deal with the fire has put me right off even trying one, also their safety in general road use seems to be completely ignored

It was pretty wild, and I thought everything was going great.....until they threw the red flag because somebody crashed and they needed a special team to deal with the bike. I know the airfence puncture from the crash would have made it an automatic red flag anyway, but I've been wondering how they plan to deal with that hazard going forward. I'm hoping it's not an issue, because that was some seriously close, exciting, racing.

Good racing, smoking tyres in bends etc but the fire issues are major and being completely ignored by all except the battery supplier

Lion batteries produce their own oxygen supply and are almost impossible to extinguish except by immersing in huge amounts of water

Been watching a lot of different classes and types of racing this year, especially British and Asian Talent Cup, and now MotoE. I have started watching WSBK more closely, always respected Rea as a rider and a person. Moto2 is still not really doing it for me...yet. Moto3 is still like a knife fight in a closet, and MotoGP has been much better, now that Dovizioso has lost his top speed advantage and can't control the races at his pace and Vinales and Fabio are taking points off him, you can see the pain on his face. It's just going to keep getting better, I believe. My verdict is still out on Lorenzo, it's a tough read. Binder on the KTM next year is a good development for them. Apologies for the random order :Bolt:
