Getting to check tire pressure, get dressed, then haul ass through the mountains. That's what mine if for. Will soak the T shirt in the sink, wring it out and be cool for a while. Try it sometime.

Ordered a new rear last night. Ran over a type of screw I had never seen before but it was inserted right in the middle of the tread of a half worn Angel GT, so another one is on the way. Decided that patching or plugging wasn't my going to happen given where I'm going this Fall. Oh well, I'll go with more tread.

Far better to replace a screw screwed tire. I have had a couple of those on my vehicles and I have been told by the tire shop, they can't fix screw damaged tires effectively. I have full confidence in this tire shop and have had since around 1989. I have lost track on how many sets of tires I have purchased from them but it would be close to a dozen sets covering three or four vehicles.

Actually, I tried to plug the tire unsuccessfully. Had it not leaked with a plug, I would have ridden it and replaced it before a trip to Western NC this Fall. I've plugged and patched many rear tires with no issues and will do it again if there are no leaks. Not everyone agrees with that but I do unless it's going to get ridden hard as it will in NC. Tire shops won't do it because of liability. I don't blame them. I do it from experience...except for this time when the plug leaked for some reason. New tire due in today.

I've ridden thousands of miles on plugged tires with no problems (yet). I seem to always get screws and nails in the first 1000 miles, and am not willing to drop another $200 for a new tire. I will mention that the best repair is to have the tire removed from the rim and have a "mushroom" patch applied from the inside of the tire. My mechanic did this for me on my '98 VFR and I did a track day a week later with no problems.

I got myself a tailbag a few days ago to fill up with some tools and essentials on the bike because storage is limited on this bike. Makes more space in the topcase to fit my helmet and other stuff :)

Finally got around to continuing my little vinyl wrap project. Just did the nose fairing, which is surprisingly easy to wrap in one piece.
Today I will tackle the one side I have left and the tank.

Cortech makes an awesome tail bag. It stays on my bike to the usual essentials. Tank bags bother me too much so I use the tail bag.

Putting new tire and wheel back on rear of bike tomorrow then riding a little. New tires are always fun to break in then ride. Flat tires are always very disappointing and costly. Motorcycle tire costs have gone up a lot and I shop around well. Oh well.

I have a Booster tailbag, was ugly purple, bought it second hand for 15€ and spraypainted it matte black lol.
It now is waterproof because of the acrylic spraypaint soaking in the fibers and hardening :)
I managed to fit in the following items:
    - Tire inflater kit
    - First aid kit
    - Tripod for camera
    - Chain lube
    - Visor cleaner
    - Cargo net
    - Raingear
    - Zipties and a wire cutters

I think I still can fit a water bottle in there.

As long as it serves your needs, it's all good. My Cortech will expand enough for me to take a four or five day trip to NC with clothes, essentials (a lot for me, LOL), and a small bottle or Woolite to wash clothes at night and hang up to dry ready for more clean riding clothes. Woolite is great stuff. I also use a small tank bag for more stuff just to get me to the motel. I've slept on the ground for the last time a long time ago.

Going to put some Honda Cleaner and Polish on it, let it dry then wipe it off with a micro-fiber towel after breaking in a new rear tire then playing for a couple of hundred miles yesterday in the mountains.

Changed the oil again, due to clutch slippage at high revs..
Cleaned the friction plates and brushed the steel plates.
    Bought new EBC HD springs
Fitted it again, with new semi synth oil(was full before) and filter.

    Hopefully no more slippage

Also fitted a smart drain plug, so no more mess when changing oil

Please let us know how the slippage issue turns out. Never has the problem in 3 VFR's ridden hard with full synthetic. Just curious about your results and why it happened in the first place. It's isn't a common problem.
