    Before anyone says anything, in-case this has been done before, I did search..

    Just found this YouTube video on how to service your front forks. Makes it look really easy and great explanation...

    My wife did the fork seals on the 09 project bike a couple of weekends ago. It wasn't a huge mish just fiddly. We didn't need any special tools just patience.

    Do one at a time and lay the parts out as they come out. Not hard.

    I do highly recommend using an impact to remove the 6mm bottom bolt for the first time. Otherwise it may start to spin along with the internal bottom cup & that's a new ballgame.

    Any plans on polishing / cleaning them while you are at it? The finish on mine is not as nice as it could be anymore so
    I know when I do mine I plan on doing that too.

    I think my wife used Emery cloth to just make sure there were no burs. On the 09 project bike, I have in my posession a receipt for fork seals being done 3 months ago and now they are leaking until we redid them.

    fork seals is another place you need to use oem parts ONLY.

    I only use SKF seals and dust wipers, better than OEM.
