I have the factory OEM side cases on my 02. For those of you that have the OEM top case, do you have any pics showing how it is mounted? Do you lose the grab handles? I'm debating trying to source one, but wasn't quite sure how it mounted to the back of the bike.

Thanks for the pic. Do you happen to have one closer showing the attachment to the grab handle locations? Thanks much!!

    Does this help..

The OEM side cases(panniers) and OEM top box carrier both attach via the "Frankenbolts" which the pillion handles currently attach to.

However the OEM top Box mount includes pillion handles meaning the existing pillion handles will need to be removed and become surplus to requirements.

The top box mounts have a flexible rubber base designed to seal down neatly to the rear fairing panel without any significant gap. Where both a top box mount and an OEM rear bags (Pannier) carrier are fitted they share the same Frankenbolt mounting, with the rear carrier plate located below the top box mount so that the flexible rubber base deforms slightly to hide the join.
