I searched for this exact thread title and found none so we have mine. I just got my VFR and unfortunately, I dropped it while moving it on its right side and the mirror broke off so I bought a Honda OEM. I do not mind them on this bike since 2007 marks the 25th anniversary of the VFR.

I also took the exhaust off this weekend in lieu of a new slip-on.

I wanted to ask a couple of quick questions.

First, do I need to remove the upper cowling plastic piece behind the mirror mount to catch the nuts inside when taking off the old mirror?

Also, for this generation do I need to do anything to the O2 sensors when changing the exhaust to a slip-on?

I have to say this bike sounds amazing without the exhaust I mean when I ride it sounds ridiculously like a muscle car! Here is a short clip of it running.

Nope you can just remove the bolts and swap the mirror. I had the same thing happen and replaced both, pretty straightforward.

Thanks, that piece was simple to remove and I found out the nuts are welded. Great!
