Wow that sucks. I have had (2) Titans (1st gen) and never had any major problems with them. My current Titan has 250K on it and is going strong.

    Touch Wood Jim.

Apparently its a 2017/18/19 model year issue. From what I have read, they expect alot of them (17/18/19s) to Shit the bed eventually. Just have to hope if you have one that it happens under warranty. That said, If your's has 250k on it then I suspect you are home free, it would have happened by now.

Well I got hosed by the seller. Seems to be a theme with me and MT01 owners. He offered to bring it to my place since he was on a run to pick up another bike, next day he says , sorry, too bad, you missed it, he sold it to someone else. He can stuff the Vmax where the sun dont shine. This makes it the 5th MT01 ive gotten screwed on. 3 sold from under me and 2 were miss represented and I wasted 2 x 15 hour round trips, fuel etc. Maybe im not meat to have one.

No honor or integrity. Fuckin' hate people like that.

Don't force it. Sometimes things happen for a reason.

Firmly believe in deal karma....started buying parts and bikes in the '80s when it was merely ads in the back of Road Racing World and such, nothing but a hope and prayer really sending a check to another state and hoping you got the part they advertised shipped back to you in some sort of reasonable time frame- all based on trust really. Lucky to have a phone number, sure as heck weren't pictures or videos or anything like that! Besides having what I'd consider a solid upbringing, I always figured no sense in trying to screw anyone, it'll just come back around and bite me when I least expect it.

Have had people fly in to buy bikes, cars, etc and drive them home. You better be damn sure the vehicle is sound to let someone fly or drive a significant distance or make sure they are very clear the condition and they understand it's their roll of the dice if the vehicle has any potential concerns about making it back on its own.

Hang tough, right deal will come along eventually. One thing I have learned, there's always another deal....

    Thanks Guys,

For the first time I chickened out of applying a decal myself. That huge FIAT decal on the right lower fairing was a NOS item from Yamaha and cost me $180 CAD, took 2 months to arrive, its a pearl white with a fade at the top.

Alignment was critical, 2 screw holes in the decal at the bottom and one at the top along with the cutout for the signal light, all that on a compound convex panel, where the edge alignment of it is easily seen of its off a bit.

So my local graphics guy came over and applied it in about 5 minutes --- Dry !!, no water/soap/alcohol spray, a perfect job, he made it look easy . best $40 I spent.

Yeah as I get more into the bike resto hobby, I need to find a graphics person locally.

It is so stressful to put decals on. Especially one that big.

Not to date myself, but in the day I had to put one of those "flaming chicken" decals on the hood of a '79 Pontiac Trans Am.

It was a real bitch to do and I ended up using a pin to put holes on the decal to release the air bubbles. Took hours to put it on.

So Funny you should mention that Jim, the graphics guy (younger guy on his 30's) was telling me how many Trans Am screaming chicken decals he has put on for guys restoring their cars in the past 10 yrs

That is by a long way the smartest thing to do. He used his skillset / experience & your $40 to do something that required a skillset you may not have & just deal with it.

This is a part of every project. Some jobs take time and money to learn & from a cost basis to get the job done may require others to do them.
