it’s not misinformation. It’s true. Now it might not be a wise choice as the data does appear clear that the vaccines do reduce the chances of bad outcomes.

I’d personally recommend that adults get the vaccine to reduce their chances of bad outcomes. When you eventually get the virus from exposure, you’ll have the added benefit of a less severe infection AND enhanced immunity in the future. Not being vaccinated should be a personal choice and it’s a big gamble but one that people should be free to take.

and when we stop trying to force and guilt people into taking the vaccines, they just might be more willing to consider the data with an open mind.

It is a personal choice, and that IS my opinion.
Today, in the United States we are allowed to have both and be able to talk about them.

I agree that people do need to focus on their lifestyle much more, as I posted above, so many factors contributing to bad health.
I have enjoyed the debates on this issue with most in this thread but it really pains me to see a lot of things thrown out there that are just not true. Kind of like a oil or tire thread. lol
A little background on me, I have been DOP for almost 40 years mostly in high end corporate. I have shot just about anything you can think of through the years. We currently have a very large and very diverse clientele. Most of the big financials, Automotive industry, marine industry, Food Industry, Insurance, high tech computers, software and all kinds of other tech, many government related defense projects, a bunch of MLM (not my favorite but they pay very well), and many more arenas, In the medical realm clients include many hospitals, research companies, Robotics for surgery, Cancer institutes, last but not least Virologist, and many others. In the big Pharma areas we have 3 of the big ones as clients. I have a stack of NDA's that I have signed for all of the info I hear about in these video shoots. I can say without a shadow of doubt that there is a ton of bad information spewing around about C19 and vaccines. Some is conspiracy crap, some is copy and paste, some is outright nefarious intentions, and of coarse political. C19 is here just like the flu it's going to be around until some leap in medicine occurs. The vaccines work, are safe and prevent illness and death. End of file. When peoples behavior infringes on others rights that is when you run into sticky situations and the crap being spewed on the net is making real info hard to decipher. People will actually believe a Voodoo doctor and a chiropractor over a tidal wave of virologist and and experts on disease if it fits their narrative and belief. It just blows my mind the behaviors I am seeing these days. We are more divided that ever and I blame the far left and right for a lot of it along with lifetime politicians and big corporations. Am I hypocritical because I do work for a lot of them? Perhaps, but I am not contribution to run away train of misinformation.

I was just telling my friends that I liked a lot of people a lot more when I knew a lot less about them. There are quite a few people in my life that I have lost a lot of respect for. And not for having an opinion, for how they express it. Spewing bullshit as fact and then retreating to "It's my opinion and I can't be wrong."

Ugh. Everybody is being sickening. I need a vaccine or natural immunity from this shit.

I totally agree with you. And I'm going to borrow your line "I liked a lot of people a lot more when I knew a lot less about them. "

The ugly truth is we are still learning about it

But having lost friends that have been fully health conscious and live well

The virus does not care how old or fit you are, if you have a bad reaction to it the end result can be dire

I on the other hand smoked for 45 years, had a heart attack in 2015, and kidney cancer in 2013, live a crap lifestyle, don’t exercise, and according to the government a person of extreme risk to the virus

My daughter who is a community nurse, was working in a covid clinic at Xmas 2020, she brought it home, we were all very sick through New Year,

My wife and son and daughter got over it quite quickly, I ended up in hospital but not intensive care, had masses of blood clots in the lungs and have suffered for the last 10 months, and continue to suffer

My doctor tells me I should not be here,
Would the vaccine have helped, the simple answer is yes

If it had been in 2020 when we could all get jabbed, I might have a few friends still here that are sadly not here now

car accidents may not care if you’re wearing your seatbelt but the odds are in your favor if you’re wearing one. The virus may not “care” who you are but the odds are still exponentially in your favor based on health and age.

slippery slope. The same argument can be used to take all your liberties. Soon we will tell people they cannot drive and must drive an autonomous vehicle because they could make a bad choice and injure someone.

I agree it is a slippery slope. I think if the country was not so polarized people would be more open minded to getting vaccinated. I don't believe that all of our liberties can or will ever be taken. But we could get through all of this much sooner with more people being vaccinated. Like you said in an earlier post, vaccinated and natural immunity from getting C19 puts you in an excellent place. Getting C19 first.... not so much, and the long term effects for a lot of folks is really bad. I have seen way to much death, hardship and remorse from this crap. And to know a major amount of it is preventable is frustrating.

Note much to argue with there. I enjoyed this interview and laughed because it’s the same discussion we had here today. Around 45min in, they have the discussion on the vaccine and thoughts on why the public doesn’t trust the public health messaging around this vaccine.

I am sorry, and think that I am being misunderstood!
I am simply saying that it is an individual's choice and not up to ANY government to decide a person's own healthcare decisions!!
A plethora of questionable press out there, be informed, educated and make your OWN decision!!!
You cannot impress that decision onto anyone else, it is up to THAT individual.

That was a good video Tink. I have seen some interviews with him and read some too. The points he makes about coercion and fear as a mechanism are accurate. Without that I think a lot of people would do the right thing and get vaccinated. The backlash form using these tactics are a real problem as how they effect peoples behaviors.
