Well... just got off the phone with the owner... guess I'm going to pick it up tomorrow morning.

I should have kept my mouth shut :Playball:

Get ready for a bunch of VFR700 questions later this year when I crack into it, lol.

You guys are a bad influence.

Bought it for $920. Cosmetically it's pretty rough--pictures are doing it a lot of justice. Most of the plastics are cracked. Clutch is inoperable. Throttle valves are sticking, it's missing quite a few bolts, and it's kinda tough to roll around, but I'll get I'll get cracking into it soon enough. I'm getting the '500 back together before I really crack into it though. This'll likely be 2022-23 winter project. I'll see if I can get it running first before I start buying anything for it.

And I know it's not Interceptor related, but I'm putting on the finishing touches on my Dad's 1990 EX500 which has been my primary distraction besides track and real life shit. I think I finally got it dialed in today after quite a bit of struggling. Learned quite a few lessons that should be applicable to future projects.

I'll start a separate thread once I start poking around trying to figure out what I've got.

    OK, well, that looks amazing.

Nice pickup ColdD. Just remember, pictures are always better than the real thing, but when you are riding other people will have the same opinion of your bike while your going by. So cracked, not cracked..who gives an F. Just enjoy the Red White and Blueness of it all.

ColdD … as you know the fun is getting that bad boy back to its former glory… then you hit the gas station and someone makes a comment on your vfr… worth every second and penny you put into it.
    Enjoy the ride bro!!!
And yes … we are a bad influence!

Ok … I thought I would put all 3 of my 750’s up for comparison.
First of all the VFR is a rocket. Handles great and the taller shock does make it feel more nimble. I decided to paint the wheels black. I have enough work keeping the RC wheels clean. As you can see the RC is tiny. But that engine is simply a gem. In any gear, except first cause it’s so tall, it walks away from the other two. It’s simply a race bike with lights.
The FZ is a marvelous piece of engineering. Engine is responsive and powerful but the VFR is slightly stronger… especially at mid to upper rev range. Both bike are very similar and capable. I can definitely go faster in the twisties with the 750’s. I feel it’s just the perfect size sport bike.
Let’s not start on the CBR900RR…
I still need to detail the VFR750F but it looks ok in the pics …
