Could really use some help new owner restoring 1984 vf500 interceptor

    I just bought a non running 1984 vf500 interceptor and I got it to run new battery spark plugs cleaned the carbs did a bench sync but when I start the bike it climbs all the way to 4000rpms and stays there maybe the intake boots to the heads from the carb but I can’t find replacements online any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated

    Ok maybe very basic but let’s start with idle adjustment screw … turn it down if you haven’t already.

    I see the black knob but I thought it was the brass flat heads on the side of each carb

    I’m not going to lie to you I feel like the biggest god damn idiot that was the issue the knob was all the way tight thank you immensely
