    gerald kadet, my father died flying a supply mission over the hump july 1945 just a week before the war ended.

    #1 Son, Chris, veteran of two foreign wars. First deployment on the JFK aircraft carrier to the first gulf war. Second deployment on the Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier back to the gulf again.

    My Father.... recently passed.... USNR.... On a ship in Pacific Theater WWII...
    Refused to talk about it.... I have his dog tags as a momento....

    We are losing these heroes daily. The ETO (European Theater of Operation) guys were in awe the South Pacific guys, and vs-a-versa. I'm sorry for you and yours' loss.
