Terminix comes by once a month and treats my house so I ask him to hit the garage while he’s here

More fairing work. Already did some on the blue one. The red one is good as is - just need paint. The two white ones need surgery. Today was wash day. Amazing how dirty these can get!

I have two more (RWB) in a box that will need extensive work!

I'm about 75% done rebuilding a tail section. I had to take a break after recreating the rear two circular mounts. Think all I have left is to reinforce around the taillight side reflector cutouts to better handle the weight of the tail light. I have done that on my other tail sections.

Some of these tail fairings can really get beat up! Obligatory cracks on both sides just ahead of the taillight, broken off and/or cracked mounts, and sometimes just chunks missing!

Been using the PlastiFix molding bar for mount repairs. And also carbon fiber for adding strength afterwards. Progress photos.....

    Great idea!

I happen to have this one in my garage at the moment.

Rain in the forecast and holiday traffic here, but will find time to squeeze a quick ride in.......

Hey Six, I believe you are a year ahead of the full on 250th celebration.

Here in Michigan, the state plans to rake in a ton of money when the new legacy plate is up for sale.
    Get yours here - https://www.michigan.gov/sos/vehicle/license-plates/legacy-plate-options
    Future legacy plate options
Semiquincentennial (last issued 1976-1978 for bicentennial anniversary)
This plate will only be available for purchase during 2026 (artwork subject to change).

Fun fact: The original 1976 plate won Michigan's first-ever "Plate of the Year" from the Automobile License Plate Collectors Association.

The down side is that they will not likely be "motorcycle" size.

    No worries!

The news programs are confusing everyone with talk of "starting the 250th celebration this weekend".
Also, the 250 birthday of the U.S. Army (which began it's exsitance one year before the declared independence) with the impressive parade last month seemed to kick things off.
