This VFR750R was acquired by the seller in 2022 and is now offered in France with a bike cover, original Japanese sales documents, HRC period literature, and French registration in the seller’s name.

The bike has not been started or ridden under current ownership.

Japanese-market literature is included in the sale. (although there is a video of it running on the listing page).

Just wondering...I thought the RC30 didn't come out until 1990/91?

It was sold on the Japanese market in 87 … I believe it’s the small headlight version.

    I had one for 5 years …
    Excellent motorcycle
    Actually quite comfortable.
Sold it due to lack of spare parts and the cost of spares once you find them. IMG_0129.jpg

You betcha! I surprised quite a few people (including myself) with this one; I hounded a couple of mates on ZX-10s through the fabulous Kopu-Hikuai road over the Coromandel ranges without raising too much of a sweat. Happy days! The photo below was us wondering where the rest of our group had got to... vfr400r4.jpg

I still ride occasionally with the guy in the white shirt on the right, but he wears a larger size now, and runs a Z-H2 for S&G. The mad redhead in the middle was blisteringly fast and confident. He was asked by a new rider whether "slow in, fast out" was the best way to ride, and he replied "no, it is fast in and faster out"...

Maybe a cuppa to boot! My wife and I will have to travel that route next time we are in NZ.

Sadly, the Fun Police have been at work all over NZ; that road is now (officially) 80km/hr.

Back in the day, my two lunatic friends regularly tested the top speed of their ZX-10s, apparently 260 was often seen. Naturally they updated to the ZZR1100 when it was released.

I did have a couple of VF400F's a few years earlier, one was an export version, the other JDM. The export model managed to show 210km/hr down a long modest incline, verified by my friend who was on his GPz900 at the time. That one also jumped out of top gear on the motorway at speed and WOT and the tacho went right around to "Made in Japan" but apparently did no harm (at least not while I owned it). This is my second one, identifiable as JDM by the lack of chin spoiler and the annoying orange light that came on on the dash at 90km/hr, but it was never quite as swift as the first.

Sorry...I seem to have hijacked the RC30 thread. Back to your scheduled programming.
