    Hi!

I'm refurbishing my 1998 VFR800. I got the fairings repainted and did a once-over on the whole bike and the project it turning out awesome. Such a perfect bike.

I currently have the original OEM windscreen and it's yellowed and scratched with age. So, a couple of questions:

    1. I'd love to replace it with another OEM, but can't find any on eBay. Any suggestions?
    2. Failing #1, any recs for an aftermarket one? I bought one from a Chinese company and it didn't fit. I can't find the Zero Gravity one for the 1998 anywhere, and I hate the look of the Givi D200.
    3. Failing 1&2, any good tutorials on how to refurbish the OEM one? Info has been spotty.

Thanks! I'll post pics when I'm done!

I have the Zero Gravity SR series shield - tough, fits reliably (just like factory) and would buy another in a heartbeat. Me? I’d order one and wait the anticipated “2-6 weeks,” for that quality piece. Worth it.

Thank you! It just so happened that I got a notification on Sat that the SR (clear) is in stock, so I ordered it! Coming today! Glad to know it fits perfectly.

Still 6-8 weeks for the Light Smoke or Dark Smoke variants, so I went with the clear.

Here's how she's lookin' before the windscreen replacement:

Good news - way back when I ordered my smoke version, it was in stock. So. Instant gratification.
That paint looks amazing and I’m certain even Viffer fans/owners will be looking hard at it.

Thank you again for the rec. I installed the Zero Gravity smoke and it looks GREAT. Fit great too. Almost like the OEM one.
