Thanks, Terry. What threw me was not knowing the Clutch Diode was a small square plugged into the harness just forward of the battery. That's all someone had to say. I thought a diode was something soldered into a circuit board - and fixing that sounded like a PITA! When I discovered (using Google image) what I was dealing with I said "OK that's easy....let's go!"...lol.....

I was surprised to find the diode on my ST1300 hiding in plain sight in one of the fuse boxes. It looked just like a fuse but with three spades not two.
