I think I'm pretty close to being done with the Yosh.

The fact that it's dented in a few places dictates it will only look so good no matter how much more work is done to it. The good news is those dents are on it's backside so won't be visible once mounted. The positive here is I learned a bit about sanding that aluminum and feel I will do an even better job next time knowing what I know now. One thing I learned is using sanding foams are much better than just the paper by itself.

    Here is it's current appearance.

An old riding mate has one of those and let me have a turn. That front wheel feels a long way away and the fat bars felt pretty odd, but a lovely machine to stooge about on.

About a week ago I did a deal to buy 2 used fuel pumps from a seller in the UK. It was from a FB post on one of the groups there. He had an assortment of items listed - but the 2 fuel pumps are what interested me the most. Well, he shipped them the next day and they got here today. Both tested running - something I hadn't asked about, figuring I could find out once they arrived. They got here in only 1 week! Both are OEM, too.

Just wanted to share - I'm pretty stoked to get these!

Watch Assen, two great races, Czechia also pretty good, Balaton was not worth the price of admission.

Nah. I'm gonna see if I can borrow a friend's insta360 that fits in the helmet and wear it during V5 races at Mid Ohio. I'll share that one if I managed to capture it :)

The key to rebuilding an engine is to not get it to a state that it needs to be rebuilt in the first place! Freakin' thing is 55 years old and still looked immaculate inside. I put new rings, wrist pin, and all new gaskets/o-rings as a matter of course since I was in there, but... didn't really need anything besides the gaskets/orings I destroyed taking it apart. Well, I also put in a new cam chain since I accidently ordered one thinking it was a drive chain months ago (lol).

Don't forget all the Prop 65 stickers I'm gonna slap on there!

Czechia was good. Think that's as far as I am right now. Just haven't had time. Plus trying to stay somewhat current on AMA Motocross.

I found what looked like a rat turd on the seat of my RC36 here at my home garage so I just set two snap traps. I use a piece of Slim Jim pushed hard onto the trap prong and the set up a trail camera to record anything that might happen. Guess I'll have to do a visual survey as well to see if there's any openings they can use to get inside. Man I hate rats and the damage they can do! Luckily my RC36 looks fine - no chew marks or anything.

BTW, the traps are on the floor of the garage - not on the seat of my RC36...lol....
