I'm working on changing my motorcycle's computer from a British specification to an American specification computer.

Do you mean what Honda calls the PGM-FI unit? Yes, there are different specifications of the "ECU", and the US one does not have the HISS immobiliser feature (if that's the reason why you're trying to swap ECUs).

I'm more of a 5th gen guy, but I think the 6th gen is similar, and if so, what you need is a 6th gen PGM-FI unit marked "A". The ones marked "AC" might also work, but that's for the California-spec bikes, which had some differences. US eBay should give you what you need, and international shipping is often/usually available, too. Hope that helps.

    Ciao,

شكراً على المعلومات. Thank you for the information. I bought the computer, the sixth generation, 2008 model, it has the letter K on it.
