    LOVE Carnitas tacos!

I just had a big bowl of homemade soup made in my crock pot. Pork, potatoes, onions , plus seasonings. Very hearty and just what I needed. I wanted to add carrots but didn't have any decent ones on hand. Still tasted good!

Somebody added carrots to their chili entry.

    No. Just no.

Is that a VF-1000R engine in it? I swear I hear gear driven cams.

Nah. It is just a pretty good sounding VF engine. I put new cam chain tensioners in it not long after I bought if from the original owner, a Honda car dealer tech, at about 24K miles.

But you're right. It does sound pretty similar and awesome.

    Yikes!

I almost always add them to the stews and soups I make.

Now that we're heading into the cool season I look forward to more soups, stews, chili, etc. The stuff that sticks to your ribs! :D

I want to take a random picture of any kind of progress on fucking anything. I'm in a slump after a month in Europe. No drive.

OK.. I got this bullshit. And good news! It has NOTHING to do with a VFR.

Front CB-1 fender for my RestoMod 1988 Hawk GT. Bodywork and more bodywork. Spray the first coat of primer and... I needed more bodywork.

    {fart noise}

Sprayed first coats of Nighthawk Metallic Black on the headlight cowl, that the fender will get too, to try and match the tank and tail section. Had a weird result. Unclear if it was a reaction or just paint doing whatever the fuck paint wants to do.

It has been wet sanded in that shot and I'm not sure of my next step.

So... summing up. AMAZING PROGRESS in the Captain 80's Man Cave.

    Looking good, Capt.....

We all get in slumps. I didn't do jack today - because I felt a little burned out and needed a day off. I call 'em mental health days.

Tomorrow I'm back in the saddle.

What is a motorcycle? I haven't ridden one, worked on one, bought stuff for one in months. After the VTR and RS sold I am left with no motivation to race a car with no budget and trapped in a loop of OCD car rewiring. Grrr
Every weekend is "I'll have it finished this week", and nothing. Traveled for my dad which I don't regret, traveled for work (which I regret), and now I am sick. grrrr

Connector cleaning time. These vintage Hondas have a corrosion problem in the connectors causing overheating and melting. I’m not sure about our V4’s but I clean them every couple of years just in case.

Yes. VF/VFRs required periodic checking on the Stator plug (3 yellow wires) if it hasn't already been soldered direct. A good number of my bikes I have soldered.

Also the plug that engages the starter solenoid. It usually lives under a rubber hood and they are subsequently neglected. VERY common for those to be melty too. I have also replaced a good number of those on my bikes.

Very recently had to replace the solenoid plug on Chrissy when replacing the R/R. Failure was very imminent. I'm glad the R/R got weak, it made me check everything.
