Just wanted to introduce myself. I purchased a red 2005 VFR 800 with only 1700 miles on it last week which takes me back to where it all started 18 years ago.

My first motorcycle was a 1990 Honda 250 VTR Interceptor that I purchased right before I moved to L.A. and put 22k miles on it the first year along with some good cracks and scratches in the fairing. ;-(=) After I got back to Texas the I everntually upgraded to a 1994 Suzuki Katana 600 which I used mostly for commuting to work. I sold the Katana in 1997 just before we moved to Michigan thinking I would probably get a snowmobile. No snowmobile, in 2000 I purchased a Honda Shadow 1100 Aero. In 2005 we moved to Atlanta and the following year I upgraded to a 2006 Yamaha Stratoliner. Last summer we moved to south Florida (Coral Springs) and I was sure that I would be getting some kinda custom chopper and started looking really hard at the 2008 Yamaha Raider when a buddy of mine reminded me that variety is the spice of like, so I turned 180 degrees in the other direction and picked up my long lost love, the Honda Interceptor.

Nice to meet everyone here on the forum, and hopefully I'll get a chance to ride with some of you.

    -Chris

Chris... Welcome and thanks for sharing your storied spiral. Hope you enjoy Florida before June, July, and August get there, no snowmobile for you anymore... just a wetbike per chance. That 250 VTR was a neat lil'ol bike.

Post up some pics when you get a chance and plug in your map location... it will help folks notice, hey, that dude is next door.

Did you have an Orange Stratoliner - hence the jackoliner?
