I got my frist "bike" at 14 when I was rolling in the hay with the farmer's daughter and spotted a derelict NSU Quickly rusting against the wall of the barn. The farmer said to pay him a pound if I ever got it going. Having stripped it down and put it back together I kicked over ant it started. The farmer got his pound and I got my first ride (not the daughter unfortunately). First real bike Yamaha YZ 250 (lucky to still be alive!)
British bike fanatic. Owned BSA Goldstar 500 single, Triumph 3TA, Norton Commando 750.
Introduction to the modern world with a 1998 Suzuki Bandit 600 which lead into my first VFR - 2000 model Fi which remains the best bike I ever had. Motorcycle tours with mates of Wales, Scotland, France, Alps and Spain (best biking territory ever). After leaving the UK for NZ I took the Suzuki DL1000 with me to explore the country and soon realised the need for a competent off roader - hence the DRZ400. Still join up with the boys for a bash around Spain on a rental BMW 1200GS. Working in Australia and NZ I needed bikes on both sides of the Tasman so soon picked up my current beauty - the VTEC. 10 years old but in pristine condition, to enjoy the superb East Coast hinterland and Great Dividing Range.

    Skiing, paragliding, scuba diving, travel
