I am putting new grips on my 2004 VFR, and I also purchased a set of Lockhart carbon fiber bar end caps. As I disasembled the OEM setup I discovered the long internal rubber mounted weights as well as the weight and mounting method of the bar end weight. Has anybody removed the OEM weight setup in favor of aftermarket bar end caps? Did this cause undesireable vibration to be transmitted through the handlebars? I am leaning toward retaining the OEM setup, and just replaceing the grips, but some thoughts either way would be great. Thanks, Badger
