SO im upgrading to a 98 VFR800 and I am looking to sell my 85 VF500f. SO i want to see what I should expect to sell it for. Here is the rundown: - 25,000 Miles - Decent physical condition (has scratches, no cracks though, older yellow paint job) - Inspection runs out this month - Getting New speedo drive put in this weekend - Oil changed last fall before winter storage - New battery last year - Tires have atleast this season left on them - Needs ignition switch ($30) to pass inspection most likely... - Front headlight is finicky...(sometimes works others doesnt, start assembly?) - Clutch is still pretty good, slips once in a blue moon So im not sure but I was going to put it up for around $1,400. Its such a fantastic starter bike considering you can beat it up and its perfect power for a beginner. What do you guys think? Anyone interested? I got pics....
May not be what you have in mind but given that has been repainted, is in fair cosmetic condition, has a few electrical gremlins and has 25K on the clock, I would say this bike should fall somewhere in the $800 range, for a knowledgeable buyer. For reference, mint very low mileage examples of the VF500F go for $2,500.
well that sounds shitty, haha. Well i guess i can just hope i run into a stupid buyer....nah, im thinking and hoping I can get at least $1,000 out of it on craigslist...
