There is a Batteries Plus at 5437 Sepulveda Blvd, Culver City, 310-313-2550. They will be much cheaper and have Yuasa and cheaper option as well. I would go with the Yuasa myself.

Yuasas since day one in my 91. Each has lasted a minimum of four years.

Many times manufacturers cut deals with suppliers and retailers for branding. The batteries from TC's source might well be Yuasas with a different label..

OTOH some dudes behind the counter will try to convince buyers that this is the case when there is a spiff on some POS part or thing that they need to move.

    Caveat Emptor.

I am still on my original on my 06 with over 70K miles. SO far it is still going strong but know I should be looking at a replacement soon. No battery tender or any of that stuff either.. I guess I ride often enough that t tender is not required. But I think to expect more than 5 years out of a battery would be akin to living in a world where the skies are like a kaleidoscope.

SO I heard Yuasa mentioned a couple times even before this thread. I assume that is the replacement battery of choice here.

I am going with a Yuasa. Per my buddy/co-worker who is a motorcycle mechanic and F1/F2 race car mechanic, this is the best battery you can possibly buy.

that's what i ended up going with. Yuasa. $140 at my local dealer. other makes were in the $80+ range so i figured the original Yuasa lasted nearly 4 years so should this one. a worthy investment.
