I just bought a very nice 2001 vfr,Somebody in another life installed frame sliders that required drilling holes i the side covers. One goes right threw the coolant tank. These things are terrible. I want to remove them even though it will require some type of plugs in the side ferrings. I removed the left side one and did not know their is a apacer that goes between the fram and engine case. Lucky i was able to get the spacer in position and re install the frame slider. Is this spacer used OE or is it part of the frame slider kit ? I am so disapointed this mod was performed befor i bought the bike.
    thank you.

I guess i will live with them, cant do anything with the holes.Left cradh bar goes right threw ther coolant tank . I see they are still FS ? So the replacement tank comes with the kit [ J&G ]. It looks OK but i am not liking they drilles 28mm holes in both side covers.

My R&G frame sliders for my Gen5 came with a coolant tank shaped to avoid this problem. Maybe R&G sells the tank separately?
