    Hello all,

I have a 1998 vfr 800 and ocasionaly when changing up gears the gear does not go in and I have to force it in with a bit of a crunch. I have striped down the gearchange mechanism and nothing seems wrong here. Does anyone know if this is likely to be a gearbox problem or is it something else?

    Many thanks in advance

can u get into neutral easily without any grinding??

may be a problem with clutch not releasing completely, so check fluid and maybe bleed both banjo bolt at m.c. and down at slave cylinder.....fluid should be changed every 2-3 years.
