Headlight help

    1st post, long time lurker :) Both headlights went out, checked the headlight fuse (good), bulbs (good), checked the start switch (good) but no power to lights. Studied wiring diagram which shows two relays, I only found one which looks like it runs both. While I wait for the new relaly to arrive is there a safe way to jumper the wiring to the relay so I have lights? Looks like jumpering r/b to w/b on the connector socket might work but hate to blow anything up so any input would be appreciated.

    btw I saw posts wondering what the hole in the left fairing was for, on this model there is a remote fuel petcock on/off/reserve knob
