Repair Dash LCD?

    Has anyone tried/succeeded in replacing a broken LCD in the dash? My fuel/odometer LCD is broken, but the rest of the gauges work normally. A new gauge set is over $600. Seems like you should be able to replace just the LCD screen.

    I understand its difficult unless you have great skills with a proper soldering iron. This might be a cheaper alternative. At least you have someone to blame if they muck it up.
