There is a 2004 GSXR shock on our Gumtree for reasonable money, has anybody tried to fit one to a 4th gen and what is the installation like? (I know anything can be MADE to fit but don't want to waste my time and money if it's a 3 week job) Aside from occasionally bottoming out 2 up I think my current shock is fine, but considering the bike is nearly 20yrs old it probably isn't. Thanks.

I fitted one to an old VF and it was a 3 week job. But, I also had to replace the spring, the original gsxr spring is going to be much too light for the VFR's weight.
