Looks like VFRD is no more, hard server crash and not going to be resurrected. Owner posted notice to FB group.

Oh shit. Prepare for some more traffic. Hopefully smart, engaging members come here more often. The rest can go to FB.

 

I have no idea if it's possible but I wonder if Miguel has the ability to message the global vfrdiscussion community using email. I suspect not but many of us don't use FB and it will be a while before the message filters down.

Suddenly have a sense of an old, good friend has died.

 

There will likely be a behind the scenes move by a couple people to try and secure the rights. The last time it was threatened there were a few.

 

The vfrd.com domain expires this year but Miguel said the database backups were corrupted, no backup newer than a year ago, the drive array crashed, etc, etc. So someone else may resurrect it but they'll be starting the site from scratch.
