I put lowering links on today. Feels much better. Still on my toes but not like a ballet dancer, literally on the very ends of my toes, more like on toes and balls of my feet. I still have to lower the front a bit so I don't mess up the handling.

It turned out it was the type of lowering link I bought. I returned it and got the Lust lowering links. Much easier to put on. Seem more durable than the other type but not adjustable. I read other posts here where someone had their link break on them so that is why I returned it (plus it looked super hard to install).

The white wheel choice makes the bike! What have you done with the tank? Maybe posted elsewhere?

Not quite today but weekend before I took my red 94 VFR out for a 200 km spin. I have been neglecting her.

Haven't done it yet, but I got my Speedo healer a few days ago and my STS auto-canceling turn signal module arrived last night. So I'm going to start working on getting those installed... Eventually.:Noidea: TIme seems to be more and more a luxury these days. :(

Nothing, just the nice standard Orca finish (black and white pearlflake with grey inbetweens)

In the middle of putting a new PR4 rear tire on. Bead was really stubborn and the tire is too wide to do it the way I usually do, which is the put it in my vise. I found this video, however, that works great.

An unusually warm winter day, I rode to work today. First real ride since I put lowering links on and I must say for a shorty like me, this is great. The only downside is that it makes the centerstand nearly unusable with my bad back and my sidestand is approaching being too long. I bought a used sidestand on ebay that I think I am going to try to shorten.

Have the seat foam shaved between your thighs and a little off the top, it definitely help me.

I think I am good now. I'm used to not being flat footed. ;)

"I think I am the only person that likes the stock mirrors!" I like the stock mirrors on my gen3 bikes too! Got uncut rear fenders so fuk everyone.
Dropped front forks finally to sand, prime and paint them silver. Silver out of a rattle can is tough, very difficult colour to get uniform. No pictures so sorry for that. End result is pretty compared to the i-sore of before.

Have a bud that builds hot rods and says silver is by far the most difficult color to lay down.

Took the wheels off for new rubber - Dunlop Roadsmart III (dual compound). Fwiw, I was not happy with how the OEM Bridgestones were squared off after 3000 miles, but that's why I always buy dual compound buns.[IMG]

As usual I’m a day late posting but I took my 5 Gen to have its lights and brake lights “certified” so I can finally get it reregistered for the street. It’s been running well over this past year and has plenty of track miles so far but I really miss riding in the canyons at times. I was able to get a temporary use permit until I can get my salvage title, which requires a CHP inspection, which has been scheduled...February 7th! Yes, over a whole month away. Seems the CHP has a very booked up schedule but all that being said, I can officially ride it on the streets until February 15 or until I can get the CHP inspection done. After that I should officially get my plates and new title.

Hardwired the gps. Mounted and wired the denali aux lites, and pair of Fiaam freeway blaster horns. ( louder than a steble) got new chain , sprokets, pilot road5, oil and filters laying on the table and new rr on the way. Thats three bikes down and three to go then I can get back to jobs that pay.
