I finally got to test this set up on a ride.
There is a lot of glare with this unit. On a sunny day, I had to put my hand
above the unit to block the sun hitting the screen.

Also, you cannot create your own routes with this GPS.

Aside from those 2 bugs, the unit does the job.

That is the techmount for the triple clam with a 3 inch stem.

I think I've commented here berfore on this subject, but I have a Zumo 550 with a Tech Mount stem mount. I love the setup. Just got back from a trip down to Deals Gap and I used the Zumo car mount for my MDX on the way day (since the DVD for the Acura GPS is about 4 years old) and then switched it over to teh bike for the rides down there. Used it many times to find things, but mostly just as an advanced view of what kind of turn was coming up for our riding.

I have a Zumo550 and I am very happy with it. My eye are not so good
because of my age and I often miss turn, however, a GPS will help me
changing lanes ahead of time. I think it is safer not worring about
next turn all the time. Mine is mounted on the centre colum using
RAM and a Powerlet plug is installed on black panel on left hand side.

Sometime very difficult to see the screen because of glare, so I wanted to get
a Bluetooth. Last year I purchased a Motorola HS830(?), however, I did not
like it so much and I returned.

Aside from the Zumo, what other systems let you create your own route?

"Aside from the Zumo, what other systems let you create your own route"

    Oh, no...
I did not know the Zumo let me create my own route.
I usually want to stay on winding old highway, but the Zumo always keeps telling me
to go to main freeway. It even tells me to turn around and get on freeway. I have been
thinking there must be ways to let me stay on small highway, but I have been too lazy to
    figure it out.
Could you someone give me a hint where I should be looking into?
