OK, I've been reading quite a few threads about folks looking for some aftermarket pieces to cover up the frame locations, when the passenger footpegs are removed. I just removed mine and was looking for the same thing, so I designed some of my own and had them fabricated. Steps: 1. Made templates out of thin cardboard 2. Took the templates to a machinist that I know 3. Gave my Buddy the templates and told him to make me some plates out of 3/16" aluminum 4. Took the completed plates to a powdercoater and had the plates powdercoated to match the color of my machine 5. Went to the hardware store and purchased stainless steel hardware to mount the plates 6. mounted the plates and was done As you can see from the following pics, i included a hanger for my remote preload adjuster into the design of the right side plate, this can be done on either side to mount up the stock preload adjuster for a 6th gen with ABS or for anyone with the 46HRCLS Ohlins shock. I provided a before and after pic on the preload adjuster hanger side, so that you can get an idea of what I had as temporary. Let me know what you think.
As usual Norcal, your attention to detail is second to none! Sweet! One question....where ya gonna put da ???
in the limo, stuke!!!!!!!!!!! thanks for the comment, i'm sure this will get buried, but i wanted to show what you can do, when parts aren't available over the counter. make your own, they'll be nicer anyway.
