    Greetings all,
How ironic that the very night that I joined this group (after having a fantastic track weekend at Spring Mountain (Pahrump, NV)), that my '99 VFR was jacked from the parking lot of the Cancun Resort in South Las Vegas. SUCKS!!! Not only was mine stolen, but my two buddy's bikes and a rented trailer (USMC property) are gone as well! So, while LV's finest are sleuthing, I thought I would post some info for your eyes as well, so maybe someone could offer some info. I'm not too optomistic that I will get my beloved back, but it sure would be nice if by some miracle our bikes were found (not in pieces). Here's what the scum made off with around 0300, 30 May 2006 from South Las Vegas Blvd:
    1999 red VFR800 JH2RC4616XM100071
    2005 gray CBR1000RR JH2SC57135M100483
    2004 red Aprilia Tuono ZD4RPC05044S000422
8X10 open utility trailer, stenciled "US GOVT PROPERTY"

The bikes were still in track prep, so are missing mirrors, turn signals, license plates, etc. I appreciate the use of your "radar", my fellow VFR-lovers!
    R,
    Not so "Jazz"ed.

    Jazz,

Sorry to hear you and your buds got jacked. That does suck. I hope the the LVPD finds your rides quickly and intact.

that's awful man. good luck finding them. don't give up. I had a bike stolen once and the theif sold it to a guy about 30 miles from where I lived, but what he didn't know is my cousin lived near to the guy that bought it. Lucky for me I had just removed the stickers from the radiator shrouds and had a custom pipe on it so when my cousin saw the 'buyer' crusing it in his hometown he called me. we tracked the guy down to his house and I stayed on his property standing by the bike until my cousin was able to get the police out there. the 'buyer' changed his story when the police arrived. he had been telling me he got the bike from another state 6 monthsw before and I was telling him he was full of shit because I recognized the handlebars and pipe and back tire...

    Thanks

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement, Micheal and Preregrin. If I saw mine and it was still intact, I'd recognize it in half a heartbeat! Funny, I have read similar posts by others, but I never thought it would "happen to me"!! Keep 'em safe, boys (and girls) and keep 'em close! I'm debating now on whether to find another gear-driven cam VFR (love that whine), or a newer model, or (heaven forbid) join the GSXR crowd.......
Let me cruise over to the classifieds and see what's there.....
